The required number is 20.
The sum of digits of the numbers on the left and right side as well as the
sum of digits of the numbers on
top and bottom add up to be equal to the number in the middle.
So, for example, in the first figure the numbers on the left and right side are 29 and 34 while the numbers on top and bottom are 66 and 51 respectively.
thus, using the above principle we add the digits of the numbers as
(2+9) + (3+4) = 18 (left-right)
(6+6) + (5+1) = 18 (top-bottom)
and both equal to number 18, which is the number in the middle.
